Marcus and I first met on a random November Friday night at Mizzou, when we were both Sophomores in collage (2010). We both remember seeing each other and flirting, but nothing really came of it. Then, 4 months later, Molly's girlfriends/Sorority sisters were all taking a group of Marcus' guy friends/Fraternity brothers to TriDelt Spring Formal. Molly and Marcus were set up by Kristen Delia and her high school friend Pat
Mello. Molly remembers Marcus being very gentlemanly, fun, and a hell of a dancer to the point where the next day at breakfast, her girlfriendRachel Zang said she saw this girl dancing with this guy who had the biggest smile on her face and just looked so happy. Then Rachel realized it was Molly with Marcus. Marcus remembers thinking Molly was really pretty and feeling like the luckiest guy at the party getting to dance with a girl who likes to do the "fisherman & fish" dance move.

The proposal

Molly: It was Christmas Eve morning and my family decided to open presents early so Mila could have an extra 24 hours to play with her toys. I was insanely excited to see everyone open their presents I got them since this was the first year I could buy everyone nice things, that they actually liked. We were almost done when all of a sudden, Marcus' family runs through the front door and into the living room with huge smiles on their faces. It all happened so fast- but before I could say anything, Marcus grabbed my hands and brought me in front of the Christmas tree and proposed in front of everyone. I was completely shocked. I'm not sure I said anything for a minute - when Marcus was like "Molls"? I said yes, followed by toasting with mimosas and snow. It could not have been better.
